MSUB Career Center City College
Graduation Matters Billings, a new program at Lewis and
Clark, is part of a grant with the goal of keeping students enrolled in school.
One aspect of this grant is exposing all 8th graders in the Billings
Public School system for different educational opportunities leading to
potential careers. On February 28th and March 1st all
eighth graders at Lewis and Clark Middle School took a tour of the Career
Center and a college here in town which is part of this grant.Students visited the Career Center where they learned about
the programs available at the high school level. On their visit, they were
taken on a tour of the complete building where they were allowed to ask
questions of the teachers and current students.Students were also given the opportunity to visit the City
College along with Montana State University-Billings. On the City College
campus the students were given a tour of the entire campus and were able to go
through classrooms and workshops. At MSUB students were taken through the
general areas available to all students and were given an explanation of
options available. Students were allowed to ask questions about college life on
the respective campuses.
